You are alone. Travelers pass this land from west to east. Give them a trail, a place to rest, and a church to pray in, and some will stay. Enough of them and a town grows.
Trees give wood, boulders give stone, reeds give fiber, bushes give berries. Drink at water or a well. Plant turnips, wheat and pumpkins in plots; weed them and keep them watered. A campfire keeps you warm, bakes bread from grain, and needs wood.
A room is floor enclosed by walls, doors and windows. A room with an altar is a church; a room with a spare bed lets someone stay. Residents build what you plan, sweep the trail, shovel snow, pull weeds, harvest and tend the fire, using what is in storage.
Winter comes. Keep wood in the chest and a fire lit. Snow buries the trail and slows everyone until it is cleared.
Alone in the wilderness with two hands and a little grain. Build a church. Lay a trail across the land. They will come, and some will stay.
